PlayStation 4 On Track To Become The Bestselling Games Console Of All Time

 

 

 

Sony’s PlayStation 4 continues to go from strength to strength, with the latest sales figures indicating the fledgling console is on track to beat the PlayStation 2 in terms of units sold. The PS2 is the bestselling console of all time, shifting over 155 million units in the 12 years following its launch.

The latest figures from Sony put worldwide sales of the PS4 at an absolutely massive 25.3 million consoles. This number has been hit in just 20 months. For point of reference, it took the PlayStation 2 two years and eight months to reach just 20 million.

Rise Of The Tomb Raider Coming Early 2016 On PC - Late 2016 On PlayStation 4

 

Square Enix has confirmed that Rise of the Tomb Raider will be coming to PC in early 2016, before arriving in holiday 2016 on PlayStation 4. The PC version gets the jump on the PS4 version, presumably as part of Microsoft’s deal with Square Enix with timed Xbox exclusivity, or alternatively to move out of the way of Uncharted IV: A Thief’s End.

Since its reveal at E3 last year, this is the first time Microsoft or Square Enix has acknowledged that Rise of the Tomb Raider is coming to other platforms eventually. The terms of Microsoft’s agreement with Square Enix ensures Rise of the Tomb Raider will premiere on Xbox One and Xbox 360 on November 10th this year.
